Though we all dream, our dreams all differ, our desires define us, our silence engulfs us – speak out.

Say something cruel, they’ll remember you forever. Say something nice, they’ll smile a moment, and forget you. I just try for honesty.

Let’s stop demonizing the opposition, whoever they are, like us they’re mortal and free to make up their own minds/mistakes. [2012]

Give us cash, and we’ll give you fame – a tantalizing promise, an inevitable loss. Thanks, but I’ll build my Twitter presence the hard way.

What have I ever truly created – my worded thoughts, my children… little else, but to me those are precious enough.

@pickineye Love inter-cultural interaction, wish I could read Russian, but since I can’t I’ll say this much – it looks really beautiful!

Sometimes I’m so off the wall I can see the fly I used to be. Night folks, sweet dreams and hopefully, awakenings.

As is too often the way of things, one must atone for excess joy – apologies to all I offended, and thanks to those who offended me.

To look in the face of evil, find a mirror and gaze within, there before you does it grin.

“The name itself is droll, and has no effect on the reader other than to make them use it as a pillow.” – Gareth, my son critic of his dad.

@maragitado I miss Africa as well. Its gentle, oppressed people. The wisdom of its rural Elders, but its music most.

Smug satisfaction fills me, my ploy prevailed… the mopping done, my wife cooked me a delicious meal :).

The strangest thing, is how I find that the people most like-minded to me, are also most different in viewpoint.

Shock, Horror, Consternation, Fear – how I felt on discovering my wife was “following” me on Twitter.

Why do the words of the insane hold instant appeal, are they echoes of thoughts unspoken?

Why do most religions assume their deity is masculine?

    Are these Tweeters for real? Yes, I’m talking to you @LynnHallbrooks http://bit.ly/Qxb6qc {TongueInCheek}

If I am anything, I am a Believer – in Logic, Love, Nature, Karma, the Spirit-{}-Soul, Fate, and the Immutable Laws of Physics.

    Might Humor be Cruelty’s alter-ego?

Do good when you can, for when you cannot… you are undone.

Though taxes aren’t charity, they should always be fair.

We seek the similar, their offerings are sweet, yet bear little sustenance. Gain understanding by seeking out our opposites.

My eldest daughter’s first sentence, at about a year old, “Mustn’t kick the birdie”. I could do nothing but agree.

Raven hair, ruby lips, a long cool stare, a woman’s hips.

I cannot choose my thoughts, they come unbidden, furrowing my brow with their excess.

Perhaps the most terrible thing to live with is regret for all we never did.

Deep, dark and disastrous, can this thing called “Freedom” be.

@lisa_freer Once opportunity passes, its encapsulating moment is lost – forever. Future moments, are dreams – missed moments, my reality.

@Santha_G @docmarion Love is a two way street to joy, or a one way road to hell. Tell them you love them.

I am me and what I do is up to me and not to you – a childhood thought I’ve changed.

@srigawntufahr Utterly obedient to six divine laws, unwittingly enslaved by their Gods, unknowingly approaching extinction… is love a law?

Though we hold being unique and original in high esteem, we strive for conformity and slavishly follow trends. ~ http://bit.ly/UMaCTb

“Mom, Dad! The boys at school are chasing me, sometimes I even let them catch me” my eldest daughter, twenty years ago. Nothing has changed.

A knight waisted on finding an oddience, no cents of humor, no need to apply… sleep now, and dream. (I read every single bio, eyes burning).

Life regains its rosy hue, for another day of grinding my head on the stone draws to its close – the weekend is almost here.

I don’t seek followers, or to follow others, but to walk alongside each of you, for a time.

With so many people professing such positive outlooks, the world needs negative me – for balance.

Shoot from the lip, you’ll be surprised how often your words hit their mark.

Until you’ve been chosen by a dog, you haven’t experienced unconditional love. https://cgayling.com/malmaxa/2012/08/unconditional-love/ …

My wife has found an expression she delights to claims describes me perfectly, “I’m seldom right, but when I am it’s 100% of the time”.

A thought, prompted by my favorite middle daughter becoming a “follower”. If life is a journey, is enlightenment its destination?

Emotion outside of thought, is blind. If you cannot look on something, how can you see it for what it truly is? -m2 CG

Where love expands the heart to infinity, hate shrivels it to incapacity. https://cgayling.com/malmaxa/2012/09/love-vs-hate/

Memory of sadness is not foreknowledge. If it was, our world would collapse about us… its destruction assured by naught save our doubts.

Why bother prefacing a hurtful comment with, “Now don’t take offense…”, when simply remaining silent ensures no injury?

When the best choice is the lesser of two evils, it is time to re-evaluate and restate the question.

Though Belief and Truth are intuitively similar, in reality they differ. I believe those who vote purely on party lines are fools, are they?

Don’t worry daughter, one day you’ll be as good at finding things as your mother is at hiding them…

Perhaps a picture’s power is its ability to evoke a myriad memories?

While we are eager for our sons to sow their wild oats, we’re reluctant for our daughters to be the fields in which said oats are sown.

Well, what little the future truly encompassed – for was not war a small angry little word, embraced by small angry little men?

Don’t make the mistake of thinking humanity is all the same – we aren’t. Our culture, parents and peers modify our perceptions.

Teachers, the world over, have a chance at immortality in the hearts of the young people they help shape.

Can emotion be eloquently portrayed without need of coarse language? Can a kiss be conveyed in a glance, or love in a wordless caress?

Prompted by my desire to capture the sound of a voice murmuring in passion, in words denoting love, not lust.

Before defining yourself by the work you do, ask your job if it will remember you once you’re gone. It didn’t answer, did it?

How is friendship formed? From mutual likes, respect, and trust? Perhaps knowing you can reveal your true nature, without fear of judgment?

Legitimate rape? Unless sex is consensual, conscious, un-coerced and between adults, it is rape. Rape is never “legitimate”, Mr. Todd Akin.

After a few heartbeats, in a voice low and filled with sympathy, Ripkira murmured “Love, yes. But unspeakable.” -m1 CG

Laziness, is the matching, and balancing attribute of intelligence. Intelligent people seek an easier way.

Character is the outward manifestation of one’s soul. Yes, we can fake it – but not for long.

Though you can drag a person to church, you cannot compel belief.

Likewise, though you tear a person from their church, you cannot separate them from their God.

Better the devil we know, than the god monger we don’t? Not so, it seems for Egypt. The dark blue sea holds greater allure…

Books, are words wrested from the hearts of their writers.

Exposing yourself to public criticism, by baring your soul through words, is not a trivial task.

20 years in the USA, 20x sub 2% inflation, 20x medical insurance inflating by at least 10%. And now a “fix” that costs still more? Enough.

When one cannot trust the highest court in the land, who can one trust? Supreme, In what sense?

Evil’s taint becomes increasingly tolerable, with each exposure.

“In some way this seemed fitting, pain meeting pride’s cost.” – Liaju, in The Pilgrimage.

Little kids really do care, adults practice deceit so often they forget how.

Witnessed gender differentials. Woman to her child “They found a baby turtle, it isn’t alive.” Man to his “They found a turtle, its dead.”

Sometimes life, and love can be more tragic than any fiction, perhaps that is why so many authors rewrap reality in their work?

Remember, the only true form of immortality is memories of you in the people you know – don’t let that be of a person too busy to have fun.

When strong feelings flood the heart, a level head stems the tide.

What I lack in expertise, I make up with incompetence..

Art is at the discretion of the artist, not the audience – who are entirely free to dislike it.

Remember always that happiness is never frivolous. Work, on the other hand, often is.

Those who care, matter. Those who don’t, don’t matter.

An auspicious day indeed. My favorite middle daughter’s birthday, and the electronic release of “The Pilgrimage”. Happy Birthday Dannielle!!

Though we are our parents’ ultimate creation, flesh of their flesh, blood of their blood, our character… is our own.

Standing in the shadow cast by awareness of our own mortality can reduce one’s enjoyment of the daily pleasures so easily taken for granted.

The seeds we sow are those of thought, the crops we reap… ideas, rich and filled with the flavor of new knowledge.

In your memories is it the travels you treasure, or the destinations you desire?

Memories of tragedy’s start. Nearly three thousand civilians slain on that day, over a hundred thousand since. Are the innocent the enemy?

Before acting be aware people remember the harm you do them far longer than they will the good – even if the harm is imagined, not real.

Take the time to reach the peaks of bliss. You’ll enjoy the journey and the destination is its own reward…

“Hold your failings to have value, and reflect on the lessons embedded therein?” from Malmaxa II – The Pilgrimage.

Technology has not made the world a better place, it has only made it smaller – and in so doing has highlighted the deficiencies of humanity

Age is an unkind mistress, she makes you want to do things you simply cannot.

For prose to have punch, it needs muscle not fat. Extra, repetitive, and unnecessary words, are the fat upon which many authors slip.

Just met my self imposed deadline (06/06/2011) for publishing “Malmaxa I – Beltamar’s War” on Amazon Kindle. The date is significant! 🙂

“Sorry” is a like a leaky boat, it seems to be fine and works well, for a while. But when it fails there is nothing but misery.

Save to my family I am largely of no consequence. But to them I would be, as they are to me.

Time slows as we age, if not time itself – our perception of it. My second child, my favorite middle daughter, is 22 today. Time, is slow.

Is a picture worth a thousand words, or might it be that it takes a thousand words to describe one? The truth is neither, picture my soul…

I threw away a old, and holed, pair of socks yesterday. It was difficult to do. Being without material wealth teaches one frugality. Forever

It seems that Envy is a two sided mirror.

Why is it that some people, with significant effort, can render the simplest thought incomprehensible and feel, in so doing, they did well?

Love arguing, detest negotiating. In an argument all gain the perspectives of others. In a negotiation someone, usually everyone, loses out.

Our senses number five and, of these, we use but one near its capability. Yet decisions do we make using a sixth, and value it most highly.
