{"id":3803,"date":"2014-04-16T14:38:13","date_gmt":"2014-04-16T19:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cgayling.com\/malmaxa\/?p=3803"},"modified":"2014-04-16T14:38:13","modified_gmt":"2014-04-16T19:38:13","slug":"two-books-for-the-price-of-none","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/cgayling.com\/malmaxa\/general\/two-books-for-the-price-of-none\/","title":{"rendered":"Two books for the price of {N}one!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><em><strong>What is Malmaxa? <\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p>That is a remarkably difficult question to answer.\u00a0 Malmaxa is my vision of a perfect world, filled with imperfect people.\u00a0 Malmaxa is my Philosophy, couched as Epic Fantasy.\u00a0 Malmaxa isn\u2019t poetry, however a little free form poem I wrote captures a few of its most essential elements.\u00a0 The poem appears below.\u00a0 Perhaps it is first proof of my claim that Malmaxa is like nothing you\u2019ve ever read\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>~ <strong>Malmaxa<\/strong> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em>~ How would a just world be? ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> No rich, and no poor.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> No government, and no governed.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> No served, and no servants.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> No clergy, and no lay.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> No owner, and no slave.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> No one able to force you to their way.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> No one to prevent you having your say.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> In two words, no disparity.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> A just world might seem harsh.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Death would be an end, and a new start.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Cherished symbols, would be etched in flesh.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> There would be war, with no victory.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Neither peon, nor royalty.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Wealth, yet no poverty.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Farmers, but no famished.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> A just world is a world where<\/em><br \/>\n<em> loving family are all around.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where to be free, we must be bound.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where children are safe to play.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where people may move, or choose to stay.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where cruelty exists, but is held at bay.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where none are forced away.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where character is held in high esteem.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where we all must fulfill our dream.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where while lineage means everything,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> it means nothing too.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where we must be who we are,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> not who our parents were.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where coins are bartered,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> they are not spent.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Where prophetic dreams,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> from the Gods are sent.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><em><strong>A &#8220;free&#8221; offer.<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p>Is any offer ever really free?\u00a0 Not in my experience, however the one I&#8217;m making here might only cost you your time.\u00a0 Your time&#8230; the most precious commodity any of us possess.<\/p>\n<p>We all like to receive something for nothing, yet on that something we generally place little value.\u00a0 After all isn\u2019t something we get for nothing too often worth precisely what we paid for it?\u00a0 Okay, stage set, here is my offer&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Two books, for the price of {N}one. \u00a0If you subscribe to Amazon Prime you can check out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B0054RFWU2\">Beltamar\u2019s War<\/a> for free, that&#8217;s the &#8220;none&#8221;.
