{"id":91,"date":"2011-06-06T12:04:32","date_gmt":"2011-06-06T12:04:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cgayling.com\/malmaxa\/?p=91"},"modified":"2011-06-06T12:04:32","modified_gmt":"2011-06-06T12:04:32","slug":"dedication","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/cgayling.com\/malmaxa\/acknowledgements\/dedication\/","title":{"rendered":"Dedication"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Dedication<\/em><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In everyone\u2019s life, outside of immediate family, there are special people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This tale is dedicated to two such, in mine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">My <strong>Godfather<\/strong>, long since lost, but never forgotten.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Charles Gilbert Ayling assumed the role of my deceased father.\u00a0 In all the time I was blessed to know him the only harsh words ever passing his lips were during attempts to defeat tobacco\u2019s foul hold.\u00a0 Sadly, he never succeeded.\u00a0 That demon eventually vanquished him in 1990, taking him from this world and leaving all who knew him forever poorer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Aunt Fran<\/strong>, to whom I owe a debt of gratitude I can never repay.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Your true name withheld, at your request.\u00a0 My beloved mother\u2019s sister.\u00a0 Would that I could wear your mark alongside hers\u2026 sadly decorum denies this.\u00a0 But know this, your symbol is scribed in my heart \u2013 where nothing can diminish its radiance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dedication In everyone\u2019s life, outside of immediate family, there are special people.
