{"id":2248,"date":"2013-03-03T10:24:24","date_gmt":"2013-03-03T15:24:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cgayling.com\/malmaxa\/?p=2248"},"modified":"2013-03-03T10:24:24","modified_gmt":"2013-03-03T15:24:24","slug":"of-an-ogre-and-a-princess","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cgayling.com\/malmaxa\/general\/of-an-ogre-and-a-princess\/","title":{"rendered":"of an Ogre, and a Princess."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, we attended the third Birthday celebration of our Granddaughter, Eden \u2013 who turns three today.\u00a0 On Friday night, my wife and I went shopping for birthday gifts.\u00a0 My wife chose a wooden farm set, complete with building and various animals.\u00a0 I wondered up and down the aisles exclaiming, \u201c<em>Oh look, isn\u2019t this nice!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eventually I selected the gift I knew Eden would like \u2013 a fairy crown, and a fairy wand with a tip that lights when a button in its handle is pressed.\u00a0 Filled with my usual certainty {ok, ok, my arrogance\u2026}, I proclaimed, \u201c<em>She\u2019ll love this!<\/em>\u201d\u00a0 My wife snorted in derision &#8211;
