\n You must believe as we, or heathen will you be.<\/em>
\n Don\u2019t confuse the faithful with your lies<\/em>
\n don\u2019t dare to make them open, their dogma shuttered eyes<\/em>.
\n Marriage is a word most meaningful,<\/em>
\n that has but one design<\/em>,
\n its only purpose is fruitful copulation<\/em>
\n with other gendered, of your kind.<\/em>
\n How dare the unbelievers, take our holy word<\/em>
\n and twist, and turn it into something so absurd<\/em>
\n as love between two people,<\/em>
\n without bias for gender,<\/em>
\n Without honor for\u2026 our holy word.<\/em>
\n Love, for one of your own gender?<\/em>
\n Absurd!<\/em>
\n For anyone who dares use reason from their own brain<\/em>
\n You must show contempt,<\/em>
\n and haughty disdain.<\/em>
\n ~<\/em>
\n Reason\u2019s Refrain.<\/em><\/del>
\n You proclaim your god is mighty, loving, and true,<\/em>
\n then by your deeds prove, his holy words mean nothing, to you.<\/em>
\n Twist the words written, that they might suit just you.<\/em>
\n Who are you to claim protection of the words you hold holy<\/em>
\n when by your efforts, you twist it into something so absurd<\/em>
\n as “love may only exist between those of opposite gender”.<\/em>
\n To thinkers, this obscenity, you dare to tender.<\/em>
\n Only when it suits you, do you quote your holy words.<\/em>
\n Often when it suits you, from context do you rip them<\/em>,
\n and with that deed, remove any true meaning<\/em>.
\n Picking and choosing, without gleaning<\/em>
\n any truth they might once have held.<\/em>
\n Guidance did they offer, words, like shalt… not must.<\/em>
\n Meanings long since forgotten, corrupted by man\u2019s lust.<\/em>
\n Divinity is life, and life, divinity.<\/em>
\n Within our single life, we strive for love.<\/em>
\n We don\u2019t know where we\u2019ll find it,<\/em>
\n spiritually, not body bound, flowing from without.<\/em>
\n Or within the arms, of a mortal lover, maybe not devout.<\/em>
\n True love knows no season,<\/em>
\n true love doesn\u2019t bow before dogmatic reason<\/em>.
\n It clasps you by the heart<\/em>,
\n and when it goes unrequited, it tears your afflicted soul apart.<\/em>
\n You claim you love your brothers, and yet you segregate<\/em>
\n you may not love another, whose gender yours does match.<\/em>
\n If the only purpose of marriage is procreation<\/em>,
\n then sinners are we all, without exemption.<\/em>
\n Marriage is a commitment, an everlasting bond.<\/em>
\n Marriage is not defined, by rigid little laws<\/em>
\n or rigid little people, without true, just, and fair cause.<\/em>
\n Does not marriage within in it hold love?<\/em>
\n Another simple, holy word\u2026<\/em>
\n Love is not subject to reason,<\/em>
\n Love does not flinch before distrust,<\/em>
\n Love does not fail before mis-reason,<\/em>
\n nor bow before the discrimination,<\/em>
\n of this misguided nation<\/em>
\n The only thing, before which love kneels, is the claimer of your heart<\/em>,
\n who love has brought together, let no one tear apart<\/em>
\n ~<\/em>
\n Logic\u2019s Refrain<\/em><\/del>
\n No law that is not equal, should be tendered, as true.<\/em>
\n No exceptions should we make<\/em>
\n that\u00a0 within our laws <\/em>entomb<\/em>, foul discrimination.
\n As anyone can see, this must be folly<\/em>
\n this, cannot be\u2026<\/em>
\n divinity.<\/em>
\n Any decent person must demand\u2026<\/em>
\n Marriage Equality.<\/em>
