This world is not the place<\/em>
\n for those likened unto me.<\/em>
\n For them, to Heaven’s song<\/em>
\n of bliss they’d hark.<\/em>
\n Could be I’m wrong,<\/em>
\n as I’m so often told I be.<\/em>
\n To Hell, better suited<\/em>
\n for those so wrong in heart,<\/em>
\n they’d not grant the wayward<\/em>
\n a fig leaf, for a start.<\/em>
\n ~<\/em>
\n Heaven,<\/em>
\n or Hell’s seeds have you sown?<\/em>
\n Where’d you rather be…?<\/em>
\n A place of peace,<\/em>
\n calm as cloud blown<\/em>
\n fore a gentle breeze.<\/em>
\n Or that other,<\/em>
\n warmer…<\/em>
\n where waters never freeze.<\/em>
\n ~<\/em>
\n Think long, for in this life<\/em>
\n you’ll choose.<\/em>
\n Spend well your wealth,<\/em>
\n while you have time.<\/em>
\n Before this life you lose.<\/em>
\n For then,<\/em>
\n judged by naught save<\/em>
\n owned earthly deed,<\/em>
\n the decision comes<\/em>
\n with what some<\/em>
\n may deem<\/em>
\n an entirely ungodly speed.<\/em>
\n ~<\/em>
\n To your earthy wealth cling tight<\/em>
\n as downward then you’ll plummet<\/em>
\n hands bound to the very anchor,<\/em>
\n that raised you high, toward mortal summit.<\/em>
\n No passage onward can be bought<\/em>
\n with earthly spoil,<\/em>
\nso foul.<\/em>
\n Oh no,<\/em>
\n rich one…<\/em>
\n for you awaits Hell’s eternal toil.<\/em>
\n ~<\/em><\/p>\n
