She is also a Warrior, for within Malmaxa no gender distinction exists in the definition of Hero.<\/p>\n<p>On Twitter, someone asked Faroene to \u201c<em>explain to me exactly what the heck you are<\/em>\u201d.<br \/>\nThe poem below is Faroene\u2019s response, in character, and in her words. As the author, I merely serve as the conduit between Faroene and the reader.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>~ <strong>Faroene<\/strong> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> My legs are long, my feet are fleet,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I\u2019ll use their speed, my fate to meet,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> my arms are strong, my swordhand swift,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> boons granted by my Chukrah\u2019s gift,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Like blood, my hair is red, my Soul deep, yet blue,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> for recently my heart has been torn in two,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> a man other than my match I met,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> and into my heart, his love hath crept.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> When comfort in his embrace I took,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> my Soul free from its cage he shook,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> into passion pure and dark I looked,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> such all-abiding love cannot be mistook.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I wonder if our love the Gods enraged,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> for when in Ancient Conflict we last engaged,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> into Eternity\u2019s book they scribed a sad, new page,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> for such is a Warrior\u2019s lot, and such our wage.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> My one true love the Gods laid dead,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I held him, teary eyes, heart sore,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> till the last Soul tingle to his Chukrah fled,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> as he departed, into Death\u2019s dark maw.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><br \/>\n<em> And thus does my true love lie lost,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Within Malmaxa\u2019s walls, I\u2019ll bear honor\u2019s cost,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> A Warrior I am, proud, and true,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> So in Malmaxa, to my match,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> my truths,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I&#8217;ll tell,<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I must.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ~<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Initially some of Faroene\u2019s poem might seem confusing. If you wish to understand Faroene\u2019s plight and witness her truths, I encourage you to read \u201c<a title=\"Faroene's world, a harsh crucible in which true character is revealed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B0054RFWU2\">Beltamar\u2019s War<\/a>\u201d, it is the first novel in my Epic Fantasy saga, Malmaxa.
