Either of those is an implicit acceptance of pre-destiny. Either of those is also an implicit acceptance of benign and malign superior entities which are capable of manipulating our fate.<\/p>\n<p>There are no words I know which are capable of encapsulating my thoughts on this topic.\u00a0 But even knowing I will surely fail, I&#8217;ll try anyway.<\/p>\n<p>Good fortune indicates luck.\u00a0 What is luck, save favorable <a title=\"oh what a tangled web we weave, when original thoughts we do conceive\" href=\"https:\/\/cgayling.com\/malmaxa\/2015\/04\/on-fate\/\">fate<\/a>?\u00a0 What is fate but an acceptance of strictures beyond our control?\u00a0 If we can neither control nor influence our own destiny, what then?<\/p>\n<p>Is all that remains to quietly accept the vagaries of fate?<\/p>\n<p>How can we timidly accept that something outside our understanding has predetermined our every thought and deed?<\/p>\n<p>If there is predetermination then it must be absolute.\u00a0 It cannot be partial, for if predetermination is only partial then predetermination does not exist at all.<\/p>\n<p>If we accept absolute predetermination, then since\u00a0all actions are predetermined we must also accept that <strong><em>absolutely nothing<\/em><\/strong> we do matters.<\/p>\n<p>If we accept nothing we do matters, then we must ultimately accept that we are nothing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nothing<\/strong>&#8230; means we must accept that we are not even stardust.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Formed from the dust of dead stars, we are.<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hashtag\/thought?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#thought<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; C.G.Ayling (@CGAyling) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CGAyling\/status\/337019678171992064?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 22, 2013<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h6>Formed from the dust of dead stars, we are.<\/h6>\n<p>I can&#8217;t accept that.<\/p>\n<p>I am merely human, and therefore incapable of understanding that which is outside human understanding.<\/p>\n<p>Now that, I can accept.<\/p>\n<p>{P.S.\u00a0 Two blog posts in a single day!!!???\u00a0 This happens extremely rarely, so don&#8217;t let it dissuade you from subscribing to my blog.
