If all we ever do is agree, then we should hold no hope of personal growth.

Jealousy is an extremely complex emotion, I don’t think we should assume it is the same for everyone.

To me, the worst kind of cultural bias is where you’re trained that bad things are good. Jealousy is not good.

“A world where character counts for more than dogma, material wealth, or inherited acclaim.” http://bit.ly/CGAbtSB

Some simply don’t see the angel they hold, until she opens her wings, and flies away.

So many, standing so eager, to judge, so sad.

Write from your heart, place passion in your words, cut anything unnecessary to your message.

We think that we remember, but what we remember is really only what we think.

Why is it that “the good life” differs so dramatically from “a good life”?

The one thing everyone is entitled to is an opinion.

    Why does life require the death of other life to sustain it? {If I could be anything I wanted, I’d be a vegan.}

Winning is a thrill, yet we gain so much more from loss.

A world without art would be dismal, and dark.

You can’t know just how I feel, unless you feel it too.

Before we can be healed we must be wounded, before the wound we must take the risk, before the risk we should know it, then take it, anyway.

Other than who they really are: something so many are so interested in being.

Lemmings: blindly doing whatever the masses do, oh sorry… that should actually read “humans”.

Jealousy is a complex emotion, whereas acting on jealousy is a stupid action.

I believe the only positive action to take on jealousy, is no action at all. Think about it, sure, act on it. No.

The only thing wrong with disagreement, is silence.

A cruel word is remembered forever, a kind one for only a day, be kind anyway.

We can buy laughter, but we can’t buy joy, we can buy release, but we can’t buy love, we can own objects, but we can never possess people.

The only things that will ever love us aren’t things at all, they are living beings.

A kind word goes a long way, would that we gain and give them, every day.

Kindness improves our days in oh so many ways.

Is the essence of jealousy the fear that another offers something we cannot?

Ultimatums are the tools of tyrants.

It strikes me as a terrible societal failing that so many victims are led to believe they bear the guilt for the atrocities of others.

Do not judge the victim, judge the abuser.

The most difficult thing to rebuild is not a bridge, it is the trust the bridge represented.

letters lain on pastel paper, their word form set by a soul’s un-breathed sigh.

Happiness is the highest high, despair, the deepest downer.

Without art, humanity lies far from infinity.

Some leaders bravely walk ahead, and pull their followers on behind, others push their followers forward, while staying safety, in the rear.

Your name reminds me to smile, your words remind me to cry, your deeds, that love is never reason to die.

When intellect and the heart combine, this might be how wisdom is defined.

To be kind requires heart, show me a corporation with heart, and I show you a corporation with a great PR department.

Beauty waits before our eyes, all we need do is open them to see.

True friendship is something to be treasured, not tallied.

I think that when our heart smiles our soul sings.

Darkest eve births new morn, glorious sunrise heralding the dawn, day’s demise foretells another night, endless cycles, dark, and light.

How do we say the things we so badly need to say, when it seems the words themselves, are in the way.

The only person I am, is me, the only person I pretend to be, why, that is also me, but better.

Need and want are not the same, we should never mistake the one for the other.

Stress is an exaggerator, it makes everything seem far worse than it is. Step back, breathe deep, relax, and look at your troubles again.

Our granddaughter Eden practices Fly by TV viewing, every time she flies by the TV she glances at it to make sure her “show” is still on.

Little joys are everywhere flying here and flitting there snatched kisses on their hair with our progeny so near we should suffer no despair

The size of a person’s character is in no way proportional to the size of the person.

As one rises, another falls, as one heart cries, another sings, as sun rises, dusk looms, as one dies, another is born, cycles, everywhere.

If we are the walkers, then life is a tightrope, with no net above the abyss.

Cast my ashes toward the sky, that once more upon the wind my freed soul might fly.

that a kind word taints the eye and from it does a thankful tear fly.

Write what lies within your heart, don’t pick the little part which you feel sets you apart.

I’m struggling to understand how the world got so bad, so fast. Pretty sure is it rampant, unregulated capitalism.

Capitalism leads consumers on its leash, and treats them, one and all, as thrall.

truth in advertising… a forgotten principle that used to mean “the truth”, now twisted till it means “not an obvious lie”.

Memories, to last the length of life.

How well we learn to hide, the darker truths, behind the golden lies.

A lie never becomes the truth, but a truth can be twisted until it seems to be a lie.

Winds will blow, you need not stay, your spirit is free, to ride the breeze, and come back to me.

We’re told that what is meant to be will be, yet our soul this ancient lie does see, and from compliance trap we turn, and to freedom flee.

Ever noticed how when you’re unhappy you resist smiling, yet as soon as you do, you feel better?

You can exchange cash for comfort, and possibly for passion, but never for love.

The purpose of life is procreation, however to find meaning in life takes love.

My eldest just suggested an excellent title for my next book, “Taking Charge of your Futility.”

To love and lose is pain, yet love itself, is always gain.

The loss of love is always painful, but through love we grow and thus we gain.

We are told many things that serve society, yet in no way do they serve humanity.

Wisdom lies within, though perhaps it is to be found without.

What image might you see reflected in the Mirror of Your Soul? http://bit.ly/CGAsMoS

What a tricky path we tread when by our unwilling nose we are led, will we chafe as the bit draws tight and think that what we do, is right?

Forget the nonsense society tries to compel, ignore the garbage society tries to sell, a life without love, that… that, is the true Hell.

The words we regret as soon as we say… they will hurt for but a day, the words we regret we never said, they will hurt… until we’re dead.

    Say it, or replay it.

Write stuff that actually matters, instead of merely titillates.

Societal and cultural influences are responsible for far more than just personality flaws. Both are suppression systems.

Since love is not rational why do we try so hard to rationalize it?

If happiness is a place can we go back?

Who are we, to dare try and teach the blind to see.

Is a life without love worth leading?

Duty starts as childhood ends, it begins with our children, and when they grow, duty cycles, and we return duty to our parents, twofold.

Perhaps the worst thing anyone can steal, is their children’s childhood.

Love is glory, love is pain.

It is all too easy to bleach our teeth, sadly we can’t say the same for our soul.

Love is like the Soul, though most of us know it’s real, we don’t really know precisely what it is.

Love is not so much about control as it is about giving up control.

Love is such a powerful, fragile thing, so difficult to crush, yet so easy to crack.

Death: Such a natural thing, yet such a painful one as well.

The most precious words are the ones we freely give away, and once given, we never want them back.

Between the lines, there lies the truth and there also, lie the lies.

Within your happy words, I see your tears, and within the sad, perceive your joy.
